Entregadas las medallas a los participantes en el «Open by Strava» del Club Ciclista Andaluz Nature
El teniente de alcalde delegado de Deportes, Javier Rodríguez Ros, ha participado esta mañana en la entrega de medallas a todos los participantes en la competición virtual del Club Ciclista Andaluz “Nature”, que preside Joaquin Garnica.
Según han explicado los representantes de la asociación, el «Open by Strava» es una competición virtual con el objetivo de seguir fomentando el ciclismo en esta época en donde las competiciones lo han tenido complicado para seguir adelante, una nueva forma de competir usando las aplicaciones móviles y ciclocomputadores que usan los ciclistas, en donde durante los 30 dias del mes de septiembre cualquier usuario de la aplicación Strava tenía que completar los tres puertos más emblemáticos del Campo de Gibraltar, estos eran Las Pantallas (en Algeciras), Puerto de Valdespera (en Los Barrios) y Lomas de Cámara (en Jimena), siendo casi medio millar de personas los que han subido algunos de los puertos y hasta 32 los que han subido los tres.
Por otro lado, el delegado ha dado las gracias al club por esta iniciativa virtual que promueve el deporte, el ciclismo y a la vez cumple con todas medidas de seguridad para prevenir los contagios provocados por el virus del COVID-19. En este sentido, ha afirmado que “vamos a seguir trabajando con todos los clubs y entidades para defender el deporte y clicismo en la ciudad”.
