El Parque Natural del Estrecho celebra el Día Internacional de la Tierra
Las tenientes de alcalde delegadas de Turismo y Medio Ambiente, Susana
Pérez Custodio y Laura Ruiz, respectivamente, han acudido en la mañana de hoy al
Parque del Centenario
con motivo del Día Internacional de la Tierra donde la
dirección del parque ha programado varias actividades enfocadas a la educación
ambiental, sobre todo en personas con discapacidad y con riesgo de exclusión
social.
Así, las actividades programadas entorno a los valores naturales y culturales
que posee este espacio de la comarca del Campo de Gibraltar, ayer día 21 de abril,
la dirección del parque junto a Agentes de Medio Ambiente impartieron una charla
sobre el Parque Natural del Estrecho a la Coordinadora Barrio Vivo, cuyo objetivo es
acercar los valores ambientales y culturales del parque a las personas en riesgo de
exclusión social, así como garantizar la conservación de los recursos de los
espacios a través del conocimiento, la sensibilización medioambiental, fomentar la
actitud de respeto y conservación de la riqueza ecológica y dar a conocer las
especies más representativas del espacio natural.
Hoy, en el Día Internacional de la Tierra, se ha organizado una jornada de
participación para la limpieza del litoral de la Punta de San García, dirigida
especialmente a colectivos de exclusión social, participando la Coordinadora Barrio
Vivo, entidad sin ánimo de lucro que ayuda a todas aquellas personas con
problemas de adicciones y en riesgo de exclusión social, además de familias que
tienen problemas con las toxicomanías. Una actuación recogida dentro del ámbito
ambiental de la Agenda Urbana 2030, en la acción de la regeneración integral del
litoral costero, con el objetivo de colaborar con las administraciones competentes en
acciones de recuperación y protección del ecosistema costero.
Por último, el 27 de abril, la dirección del parque y los Agentes de Medio
Ambiente impartirán dos charlas a los usuarios de APADIS (Asociación de Padres de
deficientes psíquicos de Algeciras) con el fin de que los integrantes de esta entidad
elaboren una infografía informativa sobre los usos permitidos y prohibidos en el
paraje natural de la playa de Los Lances, pertenecientes al Parque Natural del
Estrecho
